Tennis Club Update

Junior Pitch up and Play

These popular taster sessions are now in their third year. Last year, the final four juniors (two girls and two boys) ended the fourth session with an impromptu match, which was enjoyed by coaches and parents alike. All credit to them for progressing to that level over just four weeks.

We hold four 2-hour open sessions on Sunday mornings from 9th June from 10-12am for tennis starters and those who are already attending coaching lessons elsewhere.  In the two previous years between eight and twelve children have attended with parents, supported by three club members who have all undergone DBS (formerly CRB) checks.

The sessions are free of charge and non-members are very welcome. Parents are required to stay while their children are there. Rackets and balls are available on court in the equipment box, free to all members all year round.

Open to All

We welcome parents, staff and children from both schools (Culham and Clifton Hampden) to join the club as well as those in neighbouring villages. We aim to cater for all levels, whether you like to play occasionally or with visiting friends. The fees have been held at 2016 levels with a £15 supplement for sharing the new court facility with your guests.

  • Family membership £40 (with unlimited guests £55)
  • Single membership £30 (with unlimited guests £45)

The season runs from 1 Apr to 31 Mar. One form is all that needs to be filled in, downloadable from www.chbtc.co.uk or by scanning the QR code opposite on your smartphone. QR Code readers are available from the Google Play and the Appstore.

BACS is used by the majority of members, but cash or cheques are fine too.

Alternatively you can simply email for more details.

New Committee Members

The club is run thanks to our volunteers. We need at least two new members to continue the club’s evolution. Please email us if you’d like to join a great team. Your club needs you!

Time commitment: April – July (1 committee meeting per year). Open Posts are Secretary (now) and Chair (from March 2020). Thank you and have a great tennis season.
